The Nelson Tasman Hospice- The gift that keeps on growing

The new Nelson Tasman Hospice facility is on track for completion in early 2019 with staff and patients set to move in during March.

The total cost of the new hospice is $11.5 million. The hospice is contributing $7.5 million to the project and that’s left $4 million to raise.

$2 million of that has been raised which leaves $2 million to go. Part of trying to raise the remaining amount is through a Trees for Hospice campaign.

The gift that keeps on growing

The Nelson Tasman Hospice  is reaching out to community minded businesses, organisations or individuals who might like to support the project by sponsoring a tree in what will be the new and beautifully landscaped hospice garden.

What’s involved

There are $200 and $500 options, or for a significant donation of $1,000 or $5,000 you can choose one of the fabulous big specimen trees to put a plaque on.  In return for this support, each business that sponsors a tree will receive an inscription plate that will be on display in the garden for a minimum of 15 years, a commemorative certificate to acknowledge their generous support and an invitation to a special garden opening event.

Raeonie Ellery has recently joined the Nelson Tasman Hospice fundraising team.  She has an extensive background in fundraising, administration, volunteer coordination and sales. She has long supported Nelson Tasman hospice on a personal level, and now is excited to be a part of making a difference for the Nelson Tasman community in such a real way.  She would be happy to answer any queries you might have or drop by to discuss details of tree sponsorships, naming rights or in-kind donations.  You can contact her directly on:

Credit card donation: Please go to www.nelsonhospice.org.nz/donate and follow the instructions for credit card donations.

Direct credit: Please use online banking to pay direct into our Westpac account, the Nelson Tasman Region Hospice Trust. Account No: 03-0703-0355924-00.
