Presenter: Sam McSorley, Evolving Health
Increased absenteeism, reduced productivity and poor staff retention continue to rise at an exponential rate. Health and wellness promotion to increase staff wellbeing and reduce economic burden has become fundamental in the workplace.
Wellness intervention in the workplace can;
– Increase employee awareness of mental health & wellbeing.
– Increase staff engagement, productivity and reduce absenteeism.
– The chance to learn how to improve employee overall health and wellbeing.
– Create a positive workplace culture.
– Inspire your team to take self-responsibility in the quality of their lives.
– Create a healthier workforce overall.
This presentation will provide an over view of the importance of sleep promotion, nutritional fuel, emotional intelligence and stress management. No two people are exactly alike and react and respond to stress in different ways. Whilst stress is necessary to maintain vitality and enthusiasm for life, too much stress, caused by poor life style choices, causes health problems, impairs performance and reduces quality of life. The ability to manage stress depends on how ‘resilient’ we are. Looking at the science of good sleep hygiene, dietary habits, communication style and stress management techniques, there will be plenty to take away and implement instantly in the workplace.
