Nelson Heritage Festival!

“Heritage Week” has been a distinctive and much-loved celebration on Nelson’s calendar for many years. Last year the event grew into a true festival of heritage activities with over 40 individual events, over three exciting weeks.

The 2019 Festival will be run through most of April and is being planned now. See the link below to add your own events before January 25th 2019. Individual event listings and dates will be announced in February 2019.

With the support of Nelson City Council, individuals and community groups, plus the cities heritage facilities will once again, host a series of public events that celebrate Nelson’s amazing heritage.

Last year, the festival had something for everyone with open days, talks, children’s events and lots of fun activities at places such as public libraries, the museum, heritage houses, and Founders Heritage Park.
