A dawn silent disco promises to get Nelsonians moving

Dancers will be grooving in the street when the Dawn Rave hits Nelson, but the music won’t be echoing through the city.

A silent disco is set to dance into Kirby Lane in the early hours of Thursday. Participants will don headphones to hear the music which can only be heard through the headsets.

Event organiser, Kim Lucas, said the pre-work dance party would be an energising way to start the day and get through the rest of the week.

Dancing was proven to be a good workout.
