2019 Season Opening Update – Rainbow Ski Area
Good News….Rainbow Ski Area will open our beginners and intermediate area ONLY as scheduled on Friday the 28th of June (The T-Bar will NOT be open). Our plan, weather permitting, is to open on the 28th, 29th & 30th of June (NO T-Bar or upper Mountain), close for the week and then reopen for the season on the 6th of July with all lifts. (snow/slope conditions permitting) Though we have had no natural snow for a while our SnowSecure plan and our Operations crews have done an amazing job of making snow to enable us to open the Pomeroys’ Handle Tow in the Beginners area and our Callahan and Martella Platter on our Intermediate slope. This is a great opportunity for families and those new to skiing and riding to come up and experience Rainbow. Day Ticket Prices will be set at the learners’ area only. The road has recently received new material/gravel and some sections have seen a much-needed improvement, so it is ready for the season, all thanks to Edridge Contracting. Chains are always to be carried on our Alpine road and please obey all road signs. There are no shuttles running this weekend. We do not anticipate that chains will need to be fitted this upcoming weekend, but they do need to be carried. |
We will have the following services operating this weekend
- Ticketing
- The Café
- The Lone Star Rib Shack
- Snowsports
- Rentals
