Discover your superpower with Wellness Movement
Kia ora neighbours and friends in the Nelson community…
Wellness Movement was born in August 2017 with a bold vision to
create a cooperative space in a historic building oozing with character that
was crying out to be loved. Since then we have become a bustling hive of
healthy activity with 15 professionals working from the studios. All of our
‘Crew’ are hugely experienced, and many have worked internationally.
Until recently our efforts have been
mostly going into getting the logistics and operating systems really working
but now it’s time to take our message to our community. Not only do we hope to
draw more clients into our sessions but we also have a desire to be able to
offer more diverse modalities so we imagine as the word spreads about the
studios more teachers and practitioners will join us bringing new skills and
ideas.
To this end we’d love it if you would
support us by displaying our first promo poster – ‘Find Your Superpower’.
We’ve worked hard to find a striking, positive image that will have wide appeal
and draw people to our website and have the posters available in both A4 and A3
sizes.
We’d also like to offer you the opportunity of having one of our Crew come and deliver a short presentation to your staff about what’s on offer at Wellness Movement and why that might be of interest to them… the fact that the World Health Organisation has just officially recognised ‘burnout’ as a health condition for instance.* As burnout numbers continue to rise centres such as ours will have a unique role to play in ensuring patients address mind, body, and spirit, with an emphasis on self-care to achieve life balance.
If you’d like to explore some employee
health sessions, we can help you with that too. They could be in our studios or
at your workplace.
If you are not familiar with our space or what’s on offer, please see our website for our timetable and information. Current sessions include yoga (various styles), restorative exercise, Feldenkrais, iRest, therapeutic massage, reflexology, manual lymphatic drainage, biofeedback and capoeira. We’re also about to launch a community ‘Living Library’ offering books to loan in the body, mind and spirit categories, and Qi Gong sessions starting in August.
Wellness Movement is open around class
times and between 12 and 2pm Mon-Fri when our volunteers will be happy to show
you around.
When not in use for regular sessions our rooms are available for hire for events, workshops or use by community groups at reduced rates.
For all enquiries please contact our manager Naomi Daikin at kiaora@wellnessmovement.nz or 022 167 7958
