BLACKCAPS V ENGLAND T/20 INTERNATIONAL AT SAXTON OVAL

International cricket returns to Nelson this summer, with the Blackcap taking on England in the third T/20 International of the series at Saxton Oval, on Tuesday 5 November 2019. 

The England Cricket team will visit Nelson for the first time, which has created quite a buzz in the local community.

New Zealand Cricket CEO David White said he was “thrilled” at the selection. Mayor Rachel Reese has told Stuff – “Following on from the success of the All Blacks test last year, and our excellent track record of hosting cricket internationals, it is wonderful news that we will be welcoming the England T20 cricket team to Nelson Whakatu.”

“Nelson Cricket in partnership with Nelson City Council is very excited to be again hosting the Black Caps in a T/20 International on the 5 November”  Nelson Cricket Association General Manager David Leonard said. “It is fantastic that locals and visitors to the region get the opportunity to see the Black Caps live at one of the best boutique cricket venues in the country.”
