Good afternoon folks. I just wanted to clarify our status during lock down as we are receiving many requests to ship our products during this time. While our colourful, fuzzy warm jumpers and ponchos, insulated fun printed gumboots and winter dresses could at a stretch be considered essential items, we have not applied to be considered as such.
We strongly stand behind doing this once and doing it right. When orders are placed in our online store, the products to fill those orders comes from 8 locations, our 6 retail stores and 2 storage locations. The goods would have to then be returned to our warehouse and packed and delivered to the couriers who are operating at a minimal level thus putting more strain on them. Staff in our Nelson stores would have to come in from their isolation to help get the goods to our warehouse to be shipped, additional strain would be placed on the courier drivers. All of this movement is not what lock down is about. We need to stand strong, stay home and not pop our bubbles.
While I do find my purple Fly London’s essential wear during this time, undertaking what is involved to ship them to you right now does not seem right. We will be shipping all orders received during this time as soon as we are safely able to. The government will be giving us an update on what Level 3 looks like this week. We are processing the admin side of all orders from home so your products are being placed on hold against your order. We are continuing to offer a 30% discount using the code cuddleinyourbubble on all orders placed till the end of April.
We are a very small business and the financial impact on us and so many small businesses in New Zealand and literally the world is likely to be immense. However, we need to do this right.
So please stay local, don’t pop your bubble, keep smiling and shop local to keep your communities thriving!
Tracey
