The Kindness Pandemic
The Kindness Pandemic
Spreading random acts of kindness to make our town even nicer.
A series of art activations will invite people to pause and share a smile or two this September. We’ll spread contagious laughs, lend a helping hand, bring an element of surprise to a daily routine, and brighten up lunch breaks. It’s cool to be kind!
Presented by Nelson City Council and Arts Council Nelson, a group of Nelson improvisers, artists and creatives will pop up with little acts of kindness every other day during lunch hours over the months of August and September. Following on the success of the ‘pop-up’ art activations in Summer and Winter 2019, the 2020 series of art activations will focus on being nice and kind, embracing the notion of Jacinda Ardern during our recent Lockdown and the ongoing challenges our community is facing this year. A little act of kindness goes a long way, and The Kindness Pandemic is here to spread contagious smiles.
Everyone is invited to take part in sharing kindness and to give a compliment, lend a (socially distanced) hand, share a smile and to lift each other up in times when many of us may feel down. We got this, Nelson!
