“Drawing with Mindfulness” Free Workshop sponsored by Arts Council Nelson
Introduction to” Drawing with Mindfulness” Free Workshop sponsored by Arts Council Nelson
‘Mindfulness’ is the act of being ‘in the moment’ and is an awareness of yourself and your response to a particular experience.
Drawing is a way to interpret the world around you through observation and mark making.
It is something anyone can learn to do as the marks we make are unique and these are what gives our drawings their own style. It is not about ‘good’ or ‘bad’ drawings, but how your marks record a moment.
Through a series of simple mark making exercises you will be guided towards developing your own drawings as you gain insight into your own creative flow.
This introduction class can lead on to the ‘Drawing with Mindfulness’ class offered by Creative Journey Workshops in October, or as a class on its own.
Suitable for all levels.
