Little Boutique Nelson – something for everyone
Located at 51 Bridge St, Little Boutique is a bit of a local gem. It’s Nelson’s oldest and most established specialist lingerie and swimwear retailer with over 35 years experience in fitting services. Originally it was called Foxy Lady for 15 years before the current owners Julie and Anne (who are sisters) bought the business 15 years ago and added their special flavour.
“We wanted to bring the ‘Boutique’ feel to Nelson hence the name change. We have a specialised selection of resort/lounge wear clothing available and often we get visitors from the bigger cities who love treating themselves with gear that the big malls and department stores just don’t have.” says Julie.
Little Boutique has Nelsons biggest range of women’s swimwear, and bras ranging from A size cup to J size cup, lingerie, nightwear, threads to lounge about the house in, maternity & even baby clothes (just to name a few). Bra fitting is a very specialist area and they include this as part of their excellent customer service at no extra charge.
Something very unique and interesting is that they work in partnership with the Ministry of Health, and help women who have had mastectomy surgery as a result of breast cancer. Custom fitting and ordering bras to make them feel comfortable and confident is part of what Little Boutique does.
Julie says, “It’s a statistic unfortunately we see more of these days, and we love assisting women through this process and helping them feel good.”
“Our New Zealand made Merino selection is really popular. Our loyal customers have supported us during the recent lockdown challenges, not to mention many other retailers in the CBD, we have encouraged each other, and pulled in closer together. We continue to support our local Hospice and Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns. That’s what shopping local is all about.”
