Nelson Youth Council Application: Nelson City Council
The Nelson Youth Council is a diverse team of young people aged 14-19, from varying backgrounds. They share a desire to make a difference for the youth of Nelson and our city.
What does Nelson Youth Council do?
- They meet monthly to discuss youth issues, gain valuable skills and learn a bit about local government while they are at it.
- They contribute to Nelson City Council’s planning processes and projects.
- Provide a youth voice to Nelson City Council by making submissions and attending Council meetings.
In November of each year, selections are made of up to twenty young people to be on the Council.
Applications close Friday 16 October 2020.
