The Nelson Farmers Market continues to operate EVERY Wednesday, rain or shine, throughout the summer. Key Markets coming up are 23 December and 30 December and EVERY WEDNESDAY. This will enable you to buy fresh local produce for your festive needs. The Market opens at 8.00am and closes at 1.30pm so you can call in either before work, during a lunch break or as it suits.
Welcome Back to Moutere Fruits
Moutere Fruits have returned to the Nelson Farmers Market with their mouth watering juicy strawberries and real fruit jam. They also have spicy tomato sauce which is a welcome addition to any summer BBQ.
Berries and Stonefruit
It is perfect timing for the arrival of stonefruit and berries. We have a range of stallholders supplying local strawberries, raspberries, boysenberries and blueberries including FRUT 4 U Lowes Orchard, Moutere Fruits, Tasty, Brookfield Free Range Eggs, Tree Ripe Orchard and Veda Organics. These are picked fresh just for you. Cherries are still going strong and nectarines, peaches and apricots are coming into season.
Artisan Food
The Nelson Farmers Market has a number of artisan producers who make a range of products perfect for small gifts or on a tapas platter. Try same cold cuts or smoked salmon from The Sausage Press Deli Co, Italian cheese from Viavio, olive oil from Kakariki Olives, honey from Enzbee, sourdough bread from Rodrigos, hazelnuts from Nutt Ranch, or pickled mushrooms from Mighty Mushrooms.
