Gavin Hitchings: Stones of Unknowing
13 March – 23 May
A retrospective exhibition of Nelson-based contemporary jeweller Gavin Hitchings
(1937-2018).

Coming soon to The Suter Theatre:
A song, a Dance, and a Painting.
‘A Song, a Dance and a Painting’ combines three distinct art practices in a choreographed conversation. You will be watching an artist (Ann Braunsteiner) paint; in response and challenge to the dancer (Bjorn Aslund), set to pieces from Britten and Cassado by solo cellist Raeul Pierard.
Conceived by Lesley Bandy (artistic director, choreographer) this 40 min. performance melds these art forms in an intimate new way through the bespoke mechanical set designed and built by Lee Woodman.
Primarily Dance is further excited to present an original composition by the cellist, as well as ‘The Swan’ performed by upcoming dancer Bianca Lungu under the mentorship of artistic director Lesley Bandy.
22nd April – 6:30pm
23rd April 2:30pm & 6:30pm

Tickets available from the State Cinemas: Ticket
Bar open for refreshments.
