Be sure to visit “Shelter and Place”: The Suter Art Gallery
Be sure to visit “Shelter and Place”, the exhibition currently showing in the McKee Gallery, by Helena Morris (left) and Sally Reynolds (right). Sally and Helena are both well regarded Nelson and Tasman artists. This joint exhibition is their response to how the threat of the pandemic impacted upon them both during lockdown in March-April 2020, and also how it influenced their creativity. They have both interpreted the meaning of “home” as a place to shelter, whether it is a physical shelter or the familiar landscape in which they live. A number of the exhibited artworks have been sold already following their very successful opening event.
