The moment when you walk in the front door and you are greeted with Tina’s infectious smile and funky wallpaper is quite the vibe. It’s 7 am and Tina’s already walked the dog and is full of energy to start the day. She’s a keen Tennis player and has a few coaching sessions a week, and I can tell she would be a force of energy and laughter on the tennis court.
Mabin House is a beautiful two storey Villa house that has been tastefully renovated and faces North on Nile Street with a green frontage and backdrop of the Brook Valley. It’s a spectacular sanctuary of the highest standards, both professionally and soulfully.
Tina, and Jess (Mother and daughter team and Tina’s Husband Arj), have worked hard turning this large house into a truly special icon in Nelson and employ six staff and have recently invested in a state of the art Laser Machine from Candela Medical – global leaders in aesthetic medicine.

Mabin House is also very passionate about training talented locals for the Beauty Industry. They work closely with the NMIT new graduates. Jess has a wealth of industry experience and enjoys the training process with the girls. She’s also a dog lover (a Jack Russell called Ludo) and, just like her mum, loves a good laugh.
They are a real family team, with Tina’s husband Arj busy keeping up with the maintenance of the building and grounds. When it’s time for a holiday, they enjoy a trip to Queenstown or exploring the local region.
Bookings are coming in and you will need to get in quick. The busy time for them tends to be Saturday mornings and after school weekdays.
