It’s back! One of Nelson’s events that the community always looks forward to each year, will be held at Founders Park on December 5th. Nelson Venues & Events run the event, with support from Baby on the Move Nelson, they promise lots of surprises and delights on the day, especially with it being the 10th anniversary. There will be over 40 exhibitors. “It’s all-inclusive with parent-child, baby and older children attending. Baby on the Move Nelson is our major sponsor, and they just love being part of the expo. All of the exhibitors are local Nelson businesses” Shelley Haring explains.

As well as parents looking for new or something special for their family, there are plenty of delights for the children. Entertainment galore will include the Magic Show, Nelson Cheer Leaders will be doing their thing, learn how to hula hoop at one of the workshops with lots of giggles promised. Nelson Libraries are having a big storytime for the kids.

One to look out for is Tim’s Gardening, a sponsor, will do a kids garden workshop that will be very interesting for kids and parents alike. With a big focus on healthy living nowadays, the cooking classes at the expo are a must-see, so make sure you take your kids to that one. Shelley explains, “ These events will be going on throughout the day. A couple of them are repeated, so you won’t miss out if you come in the morning or afternoon. If you need a bit of time to chill out, there is a Kids own Area with bouncy castle’s, face painting and one of the sponsors we all grew up with, Plunket will be providing a baby changing and feeding area, and hey, there will be a photo booth to capture that special moment with your loved ones”

It’s only $5 to get in, under sixteen year olds are free. Due to Covid, tickets are pre-sold through Eventbrite, where you enter your family details, so we are all following Covid guidelines, be safe and have fun.
