The 9th Suter Contemporary Art Project, Kiss me Hardy!: The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū
The 9th Suter Contemporary Art Project, Kiss me Hardy! (but not like that) opened to the public on Sunday 28 Nov.
One not to be missed, Kiss Me, Hardy! (but not like that) explores absurdity and celebrates artists who use the unexpected, humour and juxtaposition in their work to throw off our expectations and reveal inconsistencies in our world.
Hanna Shim, “Bubble, Bubble” and “Bubble” – Mixed fabrics, linen, hand-embroidery.
Auckland-based artist, Hanna Shim identifies herself as a maker, her practice contains certain qualities of playfulness and childishness both in her processes and visual outcome. Shim has created work that reveals and revels in the awkward distance that exists between us.
On view until 27 February 2022, “Kiss Me, Hardy! (but not like that)” is The Suter Art Gallery’s 9th Contemporary Art Project.
