Flames on Forty Restaurant and Bar located at The Hotel Nelson is looking for a Chef to join their kitchen team.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for good food, enjoys a busy kitchen environment and is a team player. You’ll need to have previous kitchen experience, be professional, creative and have a positive attitude along with a sound understanding of a kitchen structure and operation.
Please note that this is not a short-term position, so preference will be given to people already living in Nelson permanently

We are looking for a Receptionist with excellent communication skills, strong computer abilities, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task . This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and outgoing individual.
Duties will include:
* Meeting and greeting guests and providing a polished first point of contact
* Assisting guests with any enquiries they may have
* Collating guest accounts and balancing daily audits
* Answering telephones and general guest correspondence
* Day to day tasks associated with room reservations
* Administration tasks to ensure the smooth running of the front office department, and in support to other departments
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience in Front Office and Reservations/Bookings
* A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry
* Knowledge of reservation systems – Knowledge in GuestCentrix is an advantage
* Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
* A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
* A professional approach and Immaculate presentation
This is a part time position at present, but a possible development to a full time position is likely. We would requires that you have a flexible attitude to hours of work and weekend shifts.
(Please note Morning shifts can start as early as 6:00am and Late Shifts can finish as late as 11:00pm)
