Summertime Event by Nelson Centre of Musical Arts

Nelson Youth Choir presents their 2022 concert, Summertime, with a range of songs through the centuries that look at what the sounds and sights of summer mean to us.
The choir takes us from the Middle English 13th century round Sumer is icumen in to the 2016 American duet City of Stars from the musical La La Land, with a programme that offers songs in English, Latin and German, ending with a well-loved Māori waiata, Hine e Hine.
Together with their Music Director Rosemary Galton and accompanist Maria Koleff, the Nelson Youth Choir shares with you songs of brightness, hope, and passion that capture the colour and joy of summer.
