2 events this week at Cultural Conversations
Would you like to join the Cultural Conversations whānau for a Global Winter Wonderland window display?
For the past 10 months, we have created a crochet /sewing hub where we want women from diverse backgrounds to
– Feel safe and empowered.
– Upskill but also learn from each other’s cultural traditions.
– Engage in conversation and make new friends.
– Gain independence and responsibility.
– Feel motivated.
– Have fun.
We have a project for the 5 day light festival where we are wanting to involve as many members of the community.
We would like to create a “Winter wonderland” window display.
Imagine snowball pom poms and little houses with lights to create a magical window display with ideas from around the world.
We will be holding a series of workshops between now and mid June. We have many ideas and you can choose what you would like to contribute. After the 5 day festival you can take your product/s home. If you want to make something and not come to the workshops then reply to this email and we can email patterns out. If you want to come to the workshop just to make friends and not make anything that is totally fine.
Our first workshop is this coming Wed 15th from 6-8pm at Cultural Conversations. Here is some more information:
