Flower of the Month – Daffodils,and jonquils are the traditional birth flower for March.
The traditional birth flowers are related to the Northern Hemisphere, so sadly daffodils and jonquils aren’t in season here in New Zealand at the moment. As the gemstone of the month of March is the aquamarine, perhaps flowers that have the lovely shades of blue of this gem would be an option.
While blue flowers can be few and far between in a flower shop, blue iris, blue statice and belladonna should still be in season.
