This teens class is an opportunity to spend a day at The Armarie Room exploring linocut! Join us for a hands on course that combines carving and printing to produce bold, sharp imagery.
Linocuts are a method of relief printing. In this class you will learn how to use carving tools to create an image that can be inked and printed. By varying the carved marks, spectacular effects can be created with this single colour process.
Our print studio provides a relaxed but inspiring atmosphere and is ideal for students with a keen interest in visual art.
Participants learn in a small, friendly group and will take home beautifully printed original works of art on paper. Students are encouraged to bring along any images or drawings they would like to work from.
