I’mPulsem a captivating installation at The Suter Art Gallery
I’mPulse is a captivating installation that explores the connection between the human body and the natural world. Using multiple wheel-thrown circular ceramic ‘cells’ in contrasting colours and shapes, the artist creates a dynamic visual representation of physical sensations such as pulses, vibrations and oscillations. The installation is accompanied by a soundscape of ‘human’ sounds, such as breathing, heartbeat and laughter, that invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the experience. I’mPulse is a unique and innovative work that challenges the boundaries between art and life.
The artist behind this installation is Fran Maguire, a Marlborough-based ceramic artist who has worked with clay for over 20 years. Inspired by the human condition and quantum physics, Fran uses a variety of techniques and materials to create her distinctive pieces.
