Our Matthews Eyecare practice was graced with a gorgeous pair of spectacles from 1954 – brought in by a repeat customer, picking up his newly dispensed optics.
The beautifully delicate hand typed note states: “These lenses, supplied by Mr. James Bates, F.B.O.A., are made of the highest crown glass and are optically perfect. They conform to the highest world standard of scientific accuracy.”
We cherish this little glimpse into the practice’s history – a stunning reminder of why we do what we do 💪
