Nelson Classic Car Museum is proud to bring you two Hoods Up! Friday events in 2024.

Time: 5pm – 9pm.

• ADMIRE   our collection of 150+ classic in this special after-hours event specifically showcasing viewing of 100+ classic cars with their hoods up! beautifully displaying what mechanically makes them go from zero to ZOOM ZOOM .

• TOUCH  This is the most intimate experience offered in a classic car museum in New Zealand. Majority of our museum isn’t roped off. You can admire almost every car in the collection from every side and angle, as well as EXCLUSIVE to Hoods Up! Friday admire every inside angle… that’s right, we unlock the doors for you to get inside our collection.

• Inhale  no matter your preference of aromas whether it’s car polish, old vinyl, engine oil, or petrol, you have you covered! Inhale mouth-wateringly delicious onsite catering (and two onsite bars) or a shot straight from petrolhead heaven into your veins with onsite LIVE demos.

CAR RIDES  Sit back, relax, and let one of our drivers indulge you in a spin around the block in one of our classic cars.

April Special Guests  Joining the NCCM Hoods Up! Friday team for the April edition is a crew from the Stoke Fire Brigade, who will be here from 5 – 8pm provided they aren’t called out to an emergency during this time.

2024 NEW ADDITION    Calling all pinup, vintage, retro and rockabilly lovers!  Nelson Classic Car Museum is proud to present “Miss Classic Nelson” pinup pageant as part of our Hoods Up! Friday events.

Miss Classic Nelson Autumn  – Friday April 12th
Miss Classic Nelson Spring  – September 13th

Entrances into Miss Classic Nelson must be aged 15 years & over.
There is no extra charge to enter in Miss Classic Nelson, however you will need to purchase tickets to Hoods Up! Friday.
