Beech Glade Sessions – 2 March: The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary
Join us for a unique performance by the talented multi-instrumentalists, Craig Denham and Nathan Torvik from Back Of Beyond. 🎻🎸 They’ll be crafting an improvised musical journey in response to the Sanctuary environment.
The two have performed together on and off over the years with Nathan being a part of Beyondsemble for a while and also touring NZ under the name of The Back of Beyond together with Nathans partner Siobhan in 2018. Their virtuosic musical chemistry is tangible and, with a love of improvisation, they’re not afraid to dive into whatever musical rabbit holes might appear on any given gig. With a huge range of styles and influences to draw on from various folk and world music to blues, reggae, jazz flavours and improvised soundscapes, expect an afternoon of lush musical richness tinged with humour and not taking oneself too seriously.
