Celebrating 125 Years of Making Art Matter

The Suter Art Gallery is turning 125 years old, and we’re marking this incredible milestone with a very special raffle. We’re raising funds to ensure the gallery can continue its vital work of bringing art to our community for another 125 years and beyond.

The Prize: An Exclusive Michael Dell Artwork

Renowned Nelson artist Michael Dell has created a stunning new artwork, especially for The Suter’s 125th anniversary. His piece, Roadside Landscape at Moutere, perfectly captures Dell’s masterful style blending representation and abstraction.

In the tradition of artists like Gerhard Richter, Dell’s evocative landscapes have a meditative quality with nuanced palettes and pared-back surfaces. This 400mm x 400mm acrylic on linen painting, valued at $4,600, will be a prized addition to any art collection.

Just 125 raffle tickets will be sold, marking the gallery’s 125 years. Each $125 ticket represents a chance to win this remarkable piece and support The Suter’s future.
