Feast Whakatū – Nelson Tasman Foodie Festival Hitting Your Plate Again This November

Feast Whakatū is set to offer a tantalizing sensory experience like no other, celebrating the region’s rich culinary culture and its outstanding producers and artisans. Known for its stunning beaches and sun-drenched days, Nelson Tasman will now be the epicenter of a unique food festival, inviting locals and visitors alike to indulge in a feast worthy adventure.

Event Director Shelley Haring shares her vision: “A ‘feast’ is more than just a meal; it’s a gathering of people, friends, and family enjoying food, drink, and conversation together. We wanted to create out-of-the-box, unique events that you can only experience by coming to Feast Whakatū. Our goal is to highlight the incredible culinary talent in our region and offer an unforgettable festival experience.”

This event is about celebrating our diverse range of food, drink, restaurants, chefs, cafes, brands, producers and growers in our region. From the farm or factory to the plate and pantry, everything’s on the table!
What kind of events are we looking for?
Our aim for Feast Whakatū 2024 is to tell a story of food & beverage in our region, we want to highlight our producers, our produce and all the creative talent within the industry.
Events that we are looking for and from our experience will sell well;
Showcasing the exceptional quality of Nelson/Tasman food & beverage with focus on fresh, local, seasonal produce
Interesting locations / places that public are not usually able to access or experience / ‘behind the scenes’ tours
Collaborations between suppliers and culinary peers
Events with an interactive, educational element eg; workshops, classes, tasting and tours
‘Out of the box’ events, experiences that are only held during the Feast week
Events that include an activity with a culinary experience, eg; Bike riding and a long lunch
Events that represent value for money
