Former Nelsonian and distinguished author Peter Simpson will be at The Suter to discuss his latest book, Dear Colin, Dear Ron. This fascinating collection features nearly 400 letters exchanged between the renowned painter Colin McCahon and the influential Christchurch librarian and arts patron, Ron O’Reilly, spanning from 1944 to 1981.
Simpson, a specialist on McCahon’s art and a former Associate Professor of English at the University of Auckland, will share insights from his research, offering a rare glimpse into the depth of McCahon and O’Reilly’s friendship.
