In every line, scar, and gesture, our hands tell the stories of our journeys—where we’ve been, what we’ve overcome, and where we dream to go. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to The Stories We Hold, a powerful collaboration between Fresh FM and Cultural Conversations Morrison Square Nelson.
Through this series, we shine a light on the rich cultural experiences of young migrants and former refugees in Te Tau Ihu. Their stories of migration, hope, and resilience are captured in a short form documentary series.
We hear stories from Nepal, Palestine, Colombia, Kenya, Sri Lanka,Thailand and Pakistan. They symbolise the strength to build a new life while staying connected to cultural roots, the courage to share untold stories, and the hope that people like them will find a sense of belonging here in Aotearoa.
Stay tuned as we dive deeper into these incredible narratives, debunk common myths around migration, and celebrate the diversity that enriches our community. 🌟
