The Magic Flute at Fairfield House
Sheltered in the cool of the trees of the historic Fairfield House courtyard, fun and frivolity are coming to Nelson summer evenings once again. Building on the success of sell-out shows the last two summers at Fairfield House with the comedic parodies ‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)’ and ‘The Servant of Two Masters’, this year Piece of Work Productions is bringing an hilarious adaptation of ‘The Magic Flute’.
Prince Tamino, feisty Pamina, and the hapless Papageno face trials, temptations, and the formidable Queen of the Night. With slapstick comedy, lively tunes, and audience antics, this commedia dell’arte-inspired show guarantees unforgettable fun for everyone!
January 9 – 12 and 14 – 18 at Fairfield House courtyard.
An enchanting and entertaining way to spend a couple of hours on a summer’s evening with family or friends in the gorgeous Fairfield House courtyard, sipping something quenching and nibbling some tasty local deliciousness.
