👥 Format: 6 vs 6 games, with two games played simultaneously
⏳ Game time: 25 minutes (no halves)

On 2 March (11.15 am – 12 pm), the Opera Trio will take the stage at the Nelson Italian Festival (Lower Trafalgar Street), singing famous arias and duets from the greatest operas of all time.
FEATURING:
🎶 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮 (𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗿) – An internationally acclaimed opera singer and Music Director of the Nelson Symphony Orchestra, Jason has performed across the UK, Europe, the Far East, and North America.
🎶 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗸 (𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗼) – A multi-award-winning soprano who has enchanted audiences with performances at the Nelson Civic Choir, Opera Festival Gala, and beyond.
🎹 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘀-𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 (𝗣𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼) – In 2024, Louis Lucas-Perry received first prize in the Sonata category and second prize in the Grand Prix at the AEGIO International Piano Competition in Toronto. He has performed many concerts in both the Nelson and Wellington regions.

By popular demand, we’re thrilled to bring authentic Italian music on stage this year. Get ready to sing, dance, and lose yourself in a two-hour setlist packed with iconic hits like Volare, Azzurro, Gloria and many more.
🎙️ Internationally experienced singer Vanessa Vaccari, who worked both as a solo act and back-up singer for renowned Italian artists, will lead the charge. She’ll be joined by a stellar line-up of talented musicians: Raffaele Bandoli (trumpet), Annabel Boyes (saxophone), Wendy Phua(bass), Luke Wilkes (guitar), Francis Meria (piano & keys), and Jim Boyden (drums).
