Your garden loves coffee too!
Coffee husk, or chaff, is the thin, outer skin of the coffee bean that detaches during the roasting process. The great news is that this byproduct is a treat for your garden (not to mention lovely to work with for coffee loving gardeners).
Use it as a mulch to keep the weeds at bay, dig it through to improve soil structure and aeration, and use it to deter the snails and slugs.
If your garden is calling you, we have plenty available. It’s always bagged up at the back door of the roastery. It’s free. It’s just one of the small things we can do together to keep working towards a happy planet.
Top tip – if using as a mulch, water it down after spreading so it doesn’t blow into places you don’t want.
