Nelson Artistic Roller skating club wins big: Palazzo Motorlodge
We would like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible effort of the Nelson Artistic Roller-Skating Club, which recently competed in Blenheim at the New Zealand 2025 Championships from June 30th to July 5th. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, as they returned home with a significant number of well-deserved medals.

What is even more exciting is that members of both the junior and senior teams from the local club have qualified for a place in the New Zealand National team to travel to Australia. They will represent our country in the Oceania and Pacific Cup Competitions at the end of August. This is a remarkable achievement, and I believe their journey deserves recognition and support.
Our daughter, Valencia, is one of the members who gained a position on the New Zealand team. As part of the Nelson Artistic Roller-Skating Club, members are required to give back to the community by running a “Learn to Skate” program on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. to introduce new members to the art of skating.
The club trains five days a week, either before or after school. It would be fantastic if we could celebrate these young and older members’ achievements together.
