This is Us: Nelson Centre of Musical Arts
Our award-winning chorus is celebrating 30 years of wonderful singing and performing. Beautifully blended harmonies and great storytelling are the signature of Nelson Bays Harmony. Singing a cappella, barbershop harmony, the chorus will present an eclectic mix of songs eg from Adele, 660 and The Greatest Showman.

Our guests
Nelson Youth Choir under the inspiring direction of Zoe Dee with accompanist Anne Shearer. Listen to some beautiful choral music presented by these talented young singers.
James and Isla. Isla Hopkins is the daughter of one of our members and will sing alongside James Wilkinson, her guitar teacher. They will also perform at the Nelson Folk & Acoustic Club the following week.
Louis Lucas-Perry. Accompanist. Louis gained a Bachelor’s degree from Victoria University of Wellington under the guidance of Jian Liu and received both the Expressions Piano Trust Prize and the NZSM Director’s Scholarship.
Our new production
True Colours is a performance blending music and characters to the tell the story of a young woman finding the courage to express her true colours in a tradition-bound world dominated by older women who have conformed for too long. It’s part soul, part rebellion, a quiet revolution in four songs.
