Being Ready…

Greeting dear friends & fellow navigators, & welcome to my world this week. Following on from my last article on effort, there are moments when the world feels too loud & your chest

feels too heavy. You sit with the silence of uncertainty, waiting for something inside you to shift. You tell yourself, “Not yet. Maybe tomorrow I will feel ready.”

But tomorrow comes, & this feeling never really arrives.

Readiness is not a sudden rush of confidence. It is not the moment when fear finally dissolves or when everything around you feel calm & aligned. Readiness is not a feeling at all. It is

a decision.

You will always feel a little unsteady. Your hands might still tremble when you take the first step. Your voice may still shake when you say yes. The butterflies may never leave your

stomach, & this is all right. Those feelings do not mean you are not ready. They simply mean you are experiencing life.

Being ready begins in the smallest of ways. It is the pep talk you give yourself: “It is scary, but I am going to try it.” It is choosing to walk forward, even when doubt presses on your

shoulders. It is standing in the middle of uncertainty & saying, “I will begin here. I will begin now.”

You do not need to feel brave before you start. Courage grows after the decision, not before. The act of choosing builds the strength you thought you were missing. Step by step,

you begin to see you never needed permission from your feelings.

If you wait for fear to leave, you may wait forever. But if you decide to move with it, you will find fear is not as heavy as it seems. Every decision to start, however small, teaches your body

& heart you are capable, & you can trust yourself. This readiness lives in action, not in waiting.

So, when your mind whispers you are not prepared, pause. Place a hand on your chest & feel your heartbeat. Notice how it carries you, steady & alive. Breathe deeply & remind

yourself readiness is not something you receive. It is something you choose.

You are allowed to begin scared. You are allowed to begin unsure. You are allowed to begin imperfectly. What matters is you beginning.

You may never wake up one day & suddenly feel ready. But you can always decide, this decision will always be enough.

Just few observations again dear friends & provide an opinion in my world. Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your being here. If my journey encourages you also, all is well with

my soul. Looking forward to next week; this is Kenn Butler in Paradise, Nelson with best wishes
