Sally Burton had a diagnosis that changed her life: Quiet Dog Gallery

In 2024 Sally Burton had a diagnosis that changed her life. She turned to drawing to make it through. She writes “respair is an obsolete English word meaning fresh hope or recovery from despair. It was during a year of illness and treatment that drawing became a daily practice – an escape from reality and a creative outlet. Beginning with random marks, the drawings evolved in their own way and finding humour and absurdity in daily life was cathartic and helped my recovery.” #dailydrawing #recovery #creativeprocess #nzexhibition #nelsonexhibition #sallyburtonartist @quietdoggallery
