Kākāriki Karaka Scavenger Hunt – Kids go free
These school holidays, bring the tamariki to the Sanctuary for a fun challenge that celebrates one of Aotearoa’s rarest taonga – the kākāriki karaka (orange-fronted parakeet).
Follow the Loop Track and keep an eye out for hidden letters tucked away along the trail. Collect them all and you’ll uncover the secret code word.
Prizes
Every child who completes the hunt receives a Whittaker’s “Tweats” chocolate treat.
Plus, they’ll take home a special certificate.
All completed entries will also go into the holiday prize draw for a soft toy kākāriki karaka.
