Using materials as diverse as silk & pine, birch ply and graphite & paper, these three South Island artists are dedicated to abstract minimalism. By restricting the number of materials they use and keeping the work pared back, the final result has impact through simplicity. Like many things in life, it takes discipline and considerable effort to achieve this level of reduction. For the viewer the work offers a chance for slow contemplation.
