Clay Week is back in 2026, bringing Aotearoa’s clay community together in Whakatū. Join us from 3rd – 9th October 2026 for workshops, artist talks, live demonstrations, exhibitions, and public displays of clay at venues across the city.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST OPEN 1ST NOV – 15TH DEC 2025.
Whether you are an artist, creator, workshop facilitator or just really love clay, if you have an idea for an event or activity, we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions, performances, screenings, activations, markets and public displays of clay.
Expressions of Interest will open for 6 weeks, from 1st November to 15th December 2025, via our website. We’ll send out a newsletter when EOIs are open.
Start creating your own Clay Week event. We’ll need to know:
• Your idea or concept
• What is involved to make it come to life
• Duration and participation info
• Facilities and equipment required
