The 2022 Rosenbauer Panther is equipped with a 700 hp Volvo Penta motor and an automatic transmission. The pump is driven by the vehicle’s power takeoff, delivering 7,000 lpm. It carries 7,000 litres of water and 1,200 litres of foam.
The 1974 Mack FR700 had a 375 hp V8 drive motor and a 10-speed manual gearbox. The pump was driven by a separate 210 hp Caterpillar V8 and had a capacity of 1050 gpm. It carried 6820 litres of water and 910 litres of foam.
