From Scrunchies to Shopify!: Cultural Conversations

We are very excited to share some good news! After many months of creating and planning, our Global Stitch Up online shop is now live thanks to Catalyst Funding from the Rata Foundation.
Launching on 25 November to coincide with 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women, this new space brings the work of our incredible makers and women’s empowerment social enterprises directly to you. Every item in the shop has a story, is made with love and you will see Afghan purses, affirmation bracelets, stunning handcrafted dolls, puzzles, T-shirts and many other pieces created by women from the Global Majority.
Shopping through Global Stitch Up is a way to support women’s financial independence in solidarity. Having their own income helps reduce economic stress at home, strengthens confidence and can give women more freedom and safety in their decision making. These social enterprises are real pathways to change systemic practices.
