🌟 NZ’s FIRST Vibe-athon is almost here
The Nelson AI Sandbox is preparing to host a new kind of creative challenge that brings people, ideas, and AI tools together in a practical and accessible way. There are still a few tickets left for this Saturday, 29 November.
What is the Vibe-athon?
Instead of writing code manually, participants will direct AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to generate code for them. You describe the outcome you want and the AI produces the technical output. This method, known as vibe-coding, focuses on creativity, teamwork, and problem solving rather than technical skills.
Who can take part?
The event is open to anyone aged 13 and over, and no coding background is required. First time participants are encouraged!
• Ages 13 to 15 require guardian supervision on the day
• Ages 16 to 17 require guardian consent
