Such a privilege to welcome Nita Knight into my Nelson store for the very first time.
Nita is truly entrepreneurial, creative, and visionary — someone who has played a huge role in putting Nelson on the map through the iconic Nelson Market she founded in 1978. Her passion for supporting makers, creatives, and local businesses has helped shape our city in the most meaningful way.
She took time to look closely, asked thoughtful questions, and spoke enthusiastically about the furniture pieces and their potential for new life — which meant so much coming from someone with such a deep appreciation for creativity and reuse.
A very special moment (and photo!) I’ll treasure — and a beautiful reminder of the power of vision, community, and backing local. 💛
