Te Rā o Waitangi ki Whakatū

Join us at Whakatū Marae and Founders Heritage Park for Waitangi Day Friday, 6 February 2026.

There will be a pōwhiri hosted at Whakatū Marae. If this is your first time visiting Whakatū Marae, please participate in the pōwhiri at 9am

Food stalls at both the Marae and Founders Heritage Park will open at 9.30am. Indulge in traditional foods, cold drinks, and unique arts & crafts.

Enjoy performances by local kapa haka and Pacifica groups. This is a day to connect, reflect on our history and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and enjoy the spirit of community.
