Tuku Whakatū 2026 is for all ages — and these school holidays are packed with hands-on, creative and fun experiences for kids and families.
From storytelling and crafts to nature adventures and printmaking, it’s all about making heritage fun and bringing history to life.

Print with LEGO
📅 Tuesday 7 April (9.30am–11am)

📍 The Armarie Room, Founders Heritage Park
Build it, ink it, print it! Kids can create their own LEGO designs and print them on a real 1860 Albion Press. A fun, hands-on creative workshop. Ages 6+.
Tuatara Night Walk
📅 Wednesday 8 April (and selected April dates) | ⏰ 7.30pm–9pm
📍 The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary
Explore the sanctuary after dark and spot tuatara, glowworms and more. A magical night-time nature adventure for the whole family. Ages 5+.
Heritage Craft Workshop
