Come and enjoy the wandering upbeats sounds in three different locations over the next four weeks. Bring your family and friends. Sit in the sun and soak up the sounds in beautiful Nelson.Kahu and Alyahna
Date: SAT, 26 MARCH
Wandering Time: Between 11:00 – 12:00 PM
Location: Tahunanui Beach & Beach Cafe.
Alyahna Sanson-Rejouis (aka IMANI-J) writes and performs her original songs in Te Reo, English and French. Often accompanied by her cousin, Kahu Sanson-Burnett (aka Kahu-SB), an accomplished guitarist, composer and producer, these two are an emerging tour de force on the Nelson music scene.
Both attended Nelson Central School’s Te Pouahi bilingual unit, and were involved in primary school Kapa Haka, choir and band. These opportunitIes alongside lessons in piano, guitar, singing and music production have nurtured their musical creativity.
Currently in Yr 9 at Nelson College for Girls, Alyahna’s acoustic singer/songwriter style is a blend of pop and rock. She cites her everyday experiences as the inspiration for her lyrics. Kahu is in Yr 12 at Nayland College, lead guitarist in the band Parallel Park, and devotes many hours a week to honing his musical craft.
Both are now stepping up to do public performances, courageously sharing their passion for music.
Tamsin and Phoebe

Tamsin and Phoebe are a mother-daughter duo from Motueka, featuring violin, vocals, tin whistle and guitar. They play original and traditional tunes with a Celtic flavour with a hint of world music flare.Klezoum

Nelson’s eastern influenced all acoustic line up, Kelzoum will transport you to an exotic location with their mesmerizing sounds. With roots from around the globe including Spain and Egypt, this band was born from their love for music with an eastern flavour. You’ll end up clapping, singing or dancing along to these musicians who play with passion.
Community Art Works (CAW )
Date: SAT, 16 APRIL
Wandering Time: Between 11:00 – 12:00 PM
Location: Tahunanui Beach & Beach Cafe.
Community Art Works is a hub where creative expression is celebrated. Their mission is to use visual and performing art to improve the health and wellbeing of people and brighten up the community. Look out for some interesting characters along the street.
