This is still our most requested dessert even in summer is the ever popular Chocolate Fondant.
You will need 50gm butter,
50 gm of dark bitter chocolate,
60 g caster sugar,
1 egg yolk
50 gm flour.
Melt the butter and the chocolate in a bowl over steaming hot water. Whisk occasionally until melted. In another bowl whisk together the egg flour and sugar and when just mixed fold in the melted chocolate and let it rest.
Take four ramekins or even teacups, grease with flour and then lightly flour or coat with cocoa powder, trying to get a nice thin cover, pour in the mix and smooth the tops of the mixture and refrigerate.
With your oven preheated to 230F place the ramekins or cups onto a tray and bake for 7 mins.
Serve with Whipped cream or Creme Fraiche and perhaps a raspberry couli. Easy fast and a guaranteed winning ending to a meal!
