Are you running a growing business and need to connect with other like-minded people? We can help unlock your business potential.

The Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce exists to unlock business vitality in our region. We help businesses expand their networks, build relationships, grow their client base and strengthen the positive voice for business in the region.

Belonging to the Chamber makes great business sense:

  • Advocacy: have your concerns heard by decision makers
  • Networking: attend networking functions, seminars and workshops
  • Business partnership, development and education: be educated and informed on business issues to support your needs, and access funding to lift capability
  • Membership value: take advantage of the discounts Chamber membership brings
  • Trade: help is on hand to assist you to trade.

A strong collective voice

One of the key roles of the Chamber is to advocate on behalf of our members on issues that affect business prosperity. Recent examples of Chamber submissions include the Waimea Dam, and the Regional Land Transport Plan. The Chamber has good relationships with key influencers, so let us know what you think about issues affecting business in our region. Get in touch at any time, complete our surveys when we ask for your views, and participate in social media conversations. Your feedback helps the Chamber to put the strongest view forward.

Key Chamber events in 2018

The Chamber’s annual Aspire conference in June is focusing on Attracting, retaining and developing our workforce to strengthen the region’s opportunity for growth. We have a great line up of speakers and panellists planned and it will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to this pressing topic.

At the end of June, the Chamber is rolling out a new-look Business Building Block workshop series, based on structured streams. Each stream will offer four workshops to provide a more complete picture on that area of business, and each workshop will be delivered by a Chamber member with business expertise in that field. There are opportunities for sponsoring and presenting workshop streams – simply get in touch to register your interest by emailing info@commerce.org.nz.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, and to mark this significant milestone we’ve made some changes to the categories to recognise all aspects of business excellence in our community. Find out more about the Business Awards and how to enter on our website.

We also offer a range of other events to help you expand your network, including monthly luncheons and Business After Five networking drinks. Stay informed about upcoming events by visiting the Events page on our website or following the Chamber on Facebook.
